Bead Pattern #1 – Beach Necklace

To start with, buy frosted glass beads in a shape or colors in a blue hue, and use silver spacer beads to the design, as well as silver lobster clasp.  Next, cut your wire (any beading wire would do) according to the desired length of your necklace, and attach one end of the clasp to a particular end of your beading wire.  Begin sliding the beads one by one. 

You can do a repetitive pattern or go random on the design.  What matters is you're happy with your artwork.  Once you're nearly done with stringing, attach the other end of the clasp by looping the beading wire through the clasp closure, and then slide the remaining length of the wire back through the last beads.

Cut the cord according to how long you want the project to be and provide a 4-inch allowance.  Next, loosely tie or put a tape at one end of the cord and slide the gemstone beads into the cord.  If you're able to purchase a three-holed bead, finish the project by untying the knot or removing the tape at one end and push both ends of the the cord through the two sides of the bead, and through the third hole, then secure by tying the cord into an overhand knot.
